Graphic Intervention: 25 Years of International AIDS Awareness Posters, recently opened at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, showcasing 153 posters that have been created to combat the AIDS crisis over the past 25 years.
In Portland, Oregon, activist and graphic designer Ben Brown Jr. will host a unique community forum and art show on World AIDS Day entitled the Living Vigil. The show is on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at The Conservatory, 5224 SE Foster Road, Portland, Oregon, next to the Pussycat Theatre and Fantasyland Video. HIV testing, food/beverages, safe-sex supplies and live music will all be provided for free. This event is all ages, inclusive, queer-friendly and an alcohol/smoke/drug-free space.
